Best YouTube Channels by Topic
Ranked lists of the biggest channels in each topic, with subscriber counts and the median views their recent videos actually get. Every list is rebuilt from live data at the start of the month.
How these lists are built
For each topic we run seven separate searches through the official YouTube Data API, keep the channels that come back on more than one video, add those a third-party ranking already places in the category, and check that at least one in five of each channel's latest video titles is actually about the topic. Every figure comes from the official API. Lists are ordered by subscriber count, and each one also shows median views on recent videos, measured from our own tracking. Median rather than average, because a single viral video makes an average useless as a baseline. Every list is dated, and previous editions are what let us show whether a channel moved up or down.
