Watch a video take off, not the aftermath

Most tools show you a view count today. We keep reading it, so you see the slope: what is accelerating right now, and what already peaked last week.

A single view count tells you nothing about momentum

  • Two videos at 400K views are not comparable if one got there in three days and the other in three months.
  • By the time a video reaches a trending list, the useful window for reacting to its format has usually closed.
  • Screenshotting view counts to compare them later is a habit nobody keeps up for more than a week.

How tracking works

01

View counts are re-read continuously

Every tracked video is measured again and again, building a time series instead of a single snapshot.

02

Velocity is derived from the readings

The gap between two readings gives views gained per 24 hours — the number that separates a rising video from a settled one.

03

The curve is kept

Each video has a chart showing how it got where it is. A steep, still-climbing line is a different signal from a flat one.

What you get

24-hour velocity

Views gained per day, shown on every card, so momentum is visible without opening anything.

Full view curve

Each video page carries its history as a chart — the shape of a breakout is recognisable.

Sort by momentum

Rank by velocity instead of raw views, and the fastest movers come to the top.

Same-age comparison

For videos tracked from publication, we compare views at equal age against the channel’s other videos at that same age.

Recency filters

Restrict to the last 24 hours, week, or month to keep old winners out of the way.

Nothing to install

No extension, no channel connection. Tracking runs on our side.

FAQ

How often are view counts updated?

Continuously — every tracked video is re-read on a regular cycle, which is what makes a velocity figure and a view curve possible. A brand-new video needs a few hours of readings before its slope can be measured.

What does the 24-hour velocity number mean?

Views gained over the last 24 hours, derived from successive readings. A video at "+134K/24h" is currently adding that many views per day. It is the clearest way to tell a video that is still climbing from one that has already peaked.

Can I see the view history of a video published before I signed up?

You will see it from the moment it enters our index onward. History cannot be reconstructed backwards — YouTube does not publish past view counts — so a video only has a curve for the period during which it has been tracked.

Does this work for Shorts?

Shorts are identified and kept out of the main results by design: their view counts follow completely different rules, and mixing them into a channel median would distort every score. The product focuses on long-form video.

Do I need to connect my YouTube account?

No. Everything runs on public data, so you can track any public channel without connecting anything or asking anyone for permission.
